Timezone preferences

Family-Friendly Events shows dates and times in your local timezone so you never have to do the math.

How your timezone is set

When you visit, we detect your browser's timezone and use it to display times for your session. If you're signed in, we may offer to save that timezone to your account so it stays consistent across devices — you can accept or dismiss the prompt.

Changing it yourself

You can set your timezone directly in Account Settings. We use a curated list of common timezones; pick the one that matches where you are. Times across the site — including a short timezone abbreviation — then follow your choice.

If you travel

Your saved preference takes priority. If it no longer matches where you are, update it in Account Settings, or clear it to fall back to automatic detection.
