We want to be upfront about how Family-Friendly Events makes money, because trust is the whole point of a directory. This page explains our use of affiliate links, consistent with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidance on disclosing material connections (16 CFR Part 255). Where an affiliate link appears, we also label it inline — right next to the link itself — so the disclosure is clear and conspicuous at the point of the link, not only on this page.
What an affiliate link is
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and then sign up for or buy a product or service, we may earn a commission or other compensation from that company — at no extra cost to you. That compensation is usually a commission or referral fee on a sign-up or purchase; if we ever receive a different kind of material benefit (for example a free or discounted product) in exchange for a recommendation, we disclose it. How it affects what you see
- Affiliate relationships do not influence directory rankings. Where a vendor appears in search results and browse pages is determined by our own relevance and quality signals — never by whether a business pays us a commission.
- We only link to things we'd genuinely suggest. An affiliate relationship is not an endorsement guarantee, but we don't add a link just because it pays.
- Outbound vendor links are the vendor's own. Links on a vendor's profile to their website or booking page are provided by that vendor and are not affiliate links unless labeled as such.
Your choice
You never have to use our links. If you'd rather not, you can always search for a product or service directly. Using an affiliate link is simply a no-cost way to support the work of running this directory if you find it useful.
