How the directory works

Family-Friendly Events is a directory. We help families and event planners find vendors — DJs, photographers, venues, entertainers, and more — who describe, in their own words, how they serve family audiences.

What "family-friendly" means here

There is no third-party certification behind the label. Instead, every vendor answers at least one specific prompt during registration about their approach to family events — the accommodations they make, what they commit to avoiding, and why their service works for a mixed-age crowd. Those answers are published on the vendor's profile so you can judge for yourself before you reach out.

How vendors get listed

Vendors register and build their own profiles. A profile does not appear publicly the moment it is created — it goes to our team for review first. We check that it meets our content standards before it goes live, and we re-review substantive changes to a published profile. Most reviews are completed within one to two business days.

What we are — and what we are not

We are a directory, not a booking service, agency, or endorsement. We do not take payments between families and vendors, and listing on the site is not a guarantee of quality. Read profiles carefully, check reviews, and verify credentials directly with a vendor before you hire them.
