Moderation and appeals
When content is reported, our moderation team reviews it and decides whether it stays up or comes down. Here's how that process works and how to appeal.
What happens when content is reported
A report puts the content in our moderation queue. A moderator reviews it against our standards and either clears it or blocks it. If your content is blocked, you'll receive a notification explaining the decision.
Restriction types
If a pattern of violations occurs, an account may be restricted in one of two ways:
- Activity restriction — specific actions (like posting reviews or sending messages) are blocked, while the rest of your account works normally.
- Full account restriction — the account is deactivated.
Either type can be temporary or permanent, depending on the situation.
How to appeal
Every restriction or block notice includes a pre-filled support link carrying your account and case details — use it to submit an appeal. If you no longer have that notice, contact support and include your account email and the content in question. A moderator will take a fresh look.
Response times
We review appeals as quickly as we can. You'll hear back once a decision is made.
