Trust badges

Trust badges are credential badges — like Insured or First Aid / CPR Certified — that show families you've been vetted. They appear near the top of your public profile, each with the month and year our team reviewed your documents.

Which badges you can earn

Your Trust badges dashboard shows the badges available for your category. Some are open to everyone (like Insured); others are specific to categories that work directly with children (like First Aid / CPR). If you don't see a badge you expect, it may not apply to your category.

How to request one

1. Go to Dashboard → Trust badges.
2. Find the badge you qualify for and upload the supporting document — your certificate of insurance, certification card, or registration document.
3. Submit. The badge shows as Under review while our team checks it.

Documents must be a PDF (up to 8 MB). Only our review team sees them — your document is never shown publicly.

Review and approval

Our team reviews every request by hand. Once approved, the badge appears on your public profile with an "as of" date. If we can't approve it, the request is removed and you're welcome to submit again with a clearer or current document.

Keeping badges current

Most badges have an expiry that matches your document (for example, insurance is usually reviewed yearly). When a badge expires it's shown greyed-out until you renew it — just upload your current document again from the Trust badges page.

What the badges mean

A badge reflects a document you provided and our team reviewed on the date shown. It's an honest signal, not a guarantee — families are always encouraged to confirm current credentials with you directly. Because the review is done by our team, the badge label is factual (for example, "Documents Reviewed") — we never call something "Verified" that we haven't independently verified.
