Family DJ is a family-friendly DJ by design. We exist to provide fun, clean music at weddings and all other types of events. We serve the northern Shenandoah Valley, Northern Virginia, and surrounding areas.

- Why I love family events
- Family events are the best. At multi-family events, there is a sense of community and togetherness that brings everyone together. At single-family or limited-family events like weddings and reunions, people know each other and have relationships that go back years and even generations. Families have their own culture, inside jokes, and traditions. It's an honor to be a part of those special moments with them.
- Family-friendly features
- Family DJ specializes in keeping the music clean. We want everyone to have a great time without worrying about the lyrics. We also keep the focus on the events (especially at weddings) rather than making the events about us or drawing too much attention to ourselves.
- Why we’re family-friendly
- Family DJ was founded with the explicit goal of being a family-friendly DJ. That is why we exist. We have many years of experience with all ages.
- A favorite memory
- One of the more interesting events we've ever performed at was a wedding. The schedule had been laid out in detail and the guests were arriving, but the caterer hadn't shown up yet but were on the way. While the bride and groom were starting to panic, we had a quick discussion with them and came up with a solution that involved moving some of the dancing and other special events before dinner, then dinner, then the main dancing. Despite the last-minute shuffling, everything worked out wonderfully. Helping the families have a great time--even when a major challenge had arisen--really made us feel happy about the evening.
- Our family-event commitments
- We treat everyone of all ages with dignity and respect. We don't play explicit lyrics unless you specifically ask us to. We play radio or clean edits by default.
