Asking a vendor a question
Every published vendor profile has a public Questions & answers section. It's the place to ask something you'd want other families to see the answer to — "Do you travel to our area?", "Is setup included?", "Can you do a nut-free menu?" — rather than a private quote request.
Asking a question
You'll need a free account and a verified email to ask, which keeps the section useful and cuts down on spam. Open the vendor's profile, find the Questions & answers section, type your question, and submit it. Your question goes to our moderators for a quick check before it appears publicly.
Questions are public and shown with your display name, so keep out anything private — your address, phone number, or event budget belong in a quote request instead.
Who answers
The vendor isn't required to answer, but they're notified when a question is posted, and their reply is pinned to the top and marked "from the vendor." Any signed-in member can also chip in with an answer — a family who used that vendor may know the answer before the vendor gets to it. Every answer is moderated the same way a question is.
Moderation
Both questions and answers pass through spam screening and our moderation queue before they go live, so there's a short delay between posting and appearing. If something you post doesn't follow our Community Standards, it won't be published. You can report any question or answer with the Report link beside it.
Not the same as a quote
Use Q&A for things worth sharing with everyone. When you're ready to book — or need to share event details privately — use the Request a quote form instead. See Requesting a quote.
